Summer Analyst Program (Europe)

What it's about

Women are underrepresented in the private markets industry. Partners Group has created the Summer Analyst Program to reduce this gap, exclusively targeting talented female candidates across academic fields who are interested in exploring a career in private markets.

The Summer Analyst Program is a hands-on program designed to equip successful applicants with the financial and analytical skills required to succeed in private markets investing, through a mixture of teaching and on-the-job experience. Successful completion of the Program could lead to the offer of a position in our full-time Financial Analyst Program.

Please note: Candidates from all genders are invited to apply to our Financial Analyst Program, or for a direct position with Partners Group.

What we expect

  • Outstanding academic credentials: The Program is open to penultimate and final year undergraduate and graduate level students. We accept candidates from any field of study, as long as they can demonstrate a genuine interest in private markets.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to learn: Investing in private markets requires professionals who can quickly and comprehensively learn and master new skills, with an emphasis on quantitative and analytical capabilities. Candidates must enjoy solving problems in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills: We look for candidates who could collaborate well with our clients internally but who can also represent Partners Group externally with all of our stakeholders.
  • Energy and passion: We want professionals who are ready to work hard and positively contribute to our culture and our success.

Our business language is English; additional languages are highly valued, but not required.

What we offer

  • Comprehensive private markets investment training, including financial modelling, financial accounting, corporate finance and valuation.
  • The potential to lead to a permanent position with the firm: Successful completion of the Program could lead to the offer of a position in our full-time Financial Analyst Program.
  • On-the-job exposure across a wide range of industries, geographies and live transaction situations: Program participants will spend the summer in one of our investment teams (private equity, private debt, private real estate and private infrastructure) where they will gain exposure to all the stages of a private markets transaction – from investment sourcing, assessment, and due diligence to closing and managing the portfolio assets.
  • Development of an independent investment project: Over the course of the summer, each participant will develop an investment opportunity which they will present to an investment committee composed of investment professionals across the firm. This provides exposure to all aspects of the investment analysis process. Previous proposals have progressed to be actively pursued investment opportunities.
  • Regular mentoring from an experienced professional and continuous exposure to senior members of the firm through the course of training and business activities.
