Our Associate Program

We hire and train many of our investment professionals through our Associate Program.
Program members gain hands-on experience working in rotations over an 18-24 month period across our four business lines (private equity, private real estate, private infrastructure and private debt), as well as within our institutional sales, corporate finance, and portfolio support teams.

  • About the Program

    Associate Program participants rotate across our investment teams as well as within our institutional sales, corporate finance, and portfolio support teams. Being part of these teams and trained on-the-job, program members gain hands-on experience and develop an understanding of our firm, as well as of the wider private markets landscape. Each rotation lasts three to six months. Participants complete at least five to six rotations to ensure a good understanding of Partners Group and its platform. 

  • Duration

    The duration of the Associate Program is flexible; the ultimate goal is for each Associate Program member to fully understand and be able to represent our platform across different markets. In general, your time on the Associate Program will last between 18 to 24 months, depending on business requirements. Following this period, and based on your performance, prior experience, individual preferences and, ultimately, our business requirements, you will receive an offer for a permanent position within the company, typically based at a pre-agreed Partners Group office.

    Our Associate Program is an opportunity for you to gain as much experience as possible across our business lines and within Partners Group. We screen and hire candidates with top academic credentials, outgoing personalities and a passion for hands-on value creation. Once selected, we are dedicated to developing participants through a combination of classroom and on-the-job training. No two paths on the Associate Program are the same; advice and mentoring is provided on an individual basis in order to maximize your growth and development within the firm.

Comprehensive private markets experience developed by rotating across our four business lines (private equity, private real estate, private infrastructure and private debt), as well as within our Investment Solutions team International exposure through office rotations in different office locations around the world. Who can apply

The Associate Program is open to applicants with a postgraduate degree, including a Master's in Finance or MBA, and with three to five years' prior work experience, not necessarily within the financial services industry. If you possess specific industry knowledge or consider yourself commercially astute and willing to learn about our industry, and are committed to and passionate about a career within private markets, then our Associate Program could be a great opportunity for you.
