Partners Group’s Evergreen Fund Control team is looking for an IFRS accounting professional with private markets semi liquid funds experienceto join our growing team in Zug. This role offers broad exposure across audit coordination, NAV oversight, and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of entities, including regulated and complex fund structures. 

You will lead the coordination of high-stakes annual audits within a compressed reporting cycle to deliver high-quality financial statements and annual reports on time. A key part of the role is the oversight and review of NAV production across private markets fund structures.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the coordination of annual audits across a large portfolio of entities, including complex and regulated fund structures, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality financial statements and annual reports
  • Serve as a key point of contact for auditors, external and internal stakeholders, driving alignment and execution across demanding timelines
  • Review and challenge NAV packages, financial statements and annual reports prepared by external fund administrators, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to technical accounting discussions and assess the impact of accounting policies on NAV and financial statements
  • Partner closely with external fund administrators on periodic NAV processes and financial reporting deliverables
  • Drive continuous enhancement of reporting, control, and audit coordination processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality
  • Build strong and effective working relationships across a broad stakeholder group, fostering collaboration, transparency, and timely resolution of issues
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues, supporting their development and strengthening the broader team

 

 
What we expect

 

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting, fund accounting, controlling, or audit, with experience in private markets semi liquid funds (mandatory)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, along with a recognized professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or ACA
  • Deep expertise in IFRS; additional knowledge of Lux GAAP, UK GAAP, or US GAAP is an advantage
  • Demonstrated understanding of private markets fund structures, NAV processes, financial reporting requirements, and audit cycles
  • Strong technical accounting capabilities, with the ability to interpret standards, assess implications, and apply sound judgment in practice
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong overall systems proficiency; experience with SQL, Python, VBA, or eFront is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail; highly structured and driven, with the ability to manage a fast-paced environment effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across cultures, seniority levels, and functions
