As Head, Finance Applications, you will own the strategy, stability, and evolution of our finance systems landscape - enabling accurate transactions, strong controls, and high-quality reporting across the firm. You will lead a global team and partner closely with senior leaders across Finance and IT to drive scalable improvements, automation and governance in a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and drive the global Finance Applications strategy, roadmap and operating model aligned with Group Finance priorities
- Ensure stable, compliant and resilient operations across SAP and other core finance platforms, including incident management and sustainable root-cause remediation
- Lead and develop a global team of specialists; build capability through coaching, performance management, succession planning and hiring
- Govern change delivery across operations, enhancements and transformation initiatives; ensure transparent communication of risks, dependencies and priorities
- Own budget planning and vendor/partner management for Finance Applications; ensure disciplined portfolio prioritization and cost-effective delivery
- Partner with Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, HR and IT to continuously improve end-to-end finance processes and controls enabled by technology
- Champion standardization, automation and service optimization; maintain sufficient technical depth to challenge solution design and guide strategic decisions
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Technology (or equivalent demonstrated experience).
- 10+ years of relevant experience in finance applications / financial systems (such as SAP), including IT management and project delivery
- Demonstrated ability to lead finance applications functions in a regulated and audit-focused environment
- Solid understanding of core finance processes (e.g., AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Financial Reporting) and related controls
- Strong people leadership skills with experience developing teams across multiple seniority levels and geographies
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across Finance and IT
- Analytical, structured problem-solving approach; comfortable balancing strategic direction with operational accountability
