Team and Position

The Quantitative & Risk Management (QRM) team is responsible for corporate, investment, and portfolio risk management at Partners Group. QRM is also instrumental in driving quantitative initiatives to build Partners Group's business. The team is currently comprised of nearly 30 members, located in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Denver, and Singapore.


We are currently searching for a Junior Investment Risk Manager to join our recently established team in Denver, the firm's Americas headquarters. As a member of the investment risk team within QRM, the position will include the following responsibilities:

  • Assessment of asset specific risks for direct investments by collaborating with investment and industry value creation teams
  • Estimate portfolio cash flows to inform the portfolio management process, ensure portfolio liquidity, and support fundraising
  • Assist in the preparation of submissions and presentations to firmwide management and committees
  • Leverage and enhance QRM's proprietary quantitative models and tools
  • Shape private markets data into actionable reporting and analysis for both internal and external stakeholders
What we expect

You might be a good fit if you have:

  • Approximately two years of experience in risk management, hedge funds, or other quantitative roles in public or private markets
  • A degree in a quantitative field like finance, engineering, mathematics, or the hard sciences
  • A passion for problem solving using quantitative analysis
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and strong ownership of personal output
  • Prior experience with data analytics (e.g. Python, SQL) and Microsoft Excel
  • Professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, FRM) are desirable but not a requirement
