We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AML Private Wealth and Distribution expert to join our team. In this position you will act as a Member of Management within the team, therefore being the undisputed expert and leader in the area. You will be responsible for compliance assurance and has the responsibility to develop, implement and manage an AML/CDD program for private wealth and distribution activities. In this role the candidate and the wider CDD team operate in close conjunction with the Compliance team and the service providers engaged to perform AML/CDD tasks for us in addition to other stakeholders such as local committee members, investors and regulatory bodies. You possess the requisite calibre, acumen and experience to make the right judgement calls in this area.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with AML regulations in the distribution and private wealth space in Luxembourg and beyond and, will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our private wealth AML programs from a first line perspective.

Your tasks will include:

  • developing, implementing and managing the AML compliance program for private wealth distribution activities, including expanding and adapting said program in line with Partners Group's continued expansion of its private wealth offering
  • maintaining and implementing a robust AML/CFT oversight program on AML/CFT service providers and distributors alike, including developing strategies to mitigate risk, develop the content of due diligence questionnaires, due diligence sessions and ongoing monitoring controls
  • collaborating with the various stakeholders (sales teams, distributors, broker dealers etc.) and provide compliant solutions to the diverse offerings and proposals
  • drawing up and/or strengthening AML/CFT distributor processes/operations to ensure an appropriate governance framework for Partners Group's alternative investment fund manager and for all the funds it manages in Luxembourg, as well as for other Partners Group funds across the globe
  • maintaining the integrity of our distribution activities across the globe, including through constant upgrade to address developing regulatory requirements and evolving, dynamic commercial expectations
  • leading and completing local and global AML/private wealth projects satisfactorily and timely as well as significantly contributing to cross-team/inter-departmental projects

 

What we expect

 

  • This is a position suited to a professional with a minimum of 9 – 12 years of relevant AML focused experience on private wealth and distribution in the funds industry
  • We expect candidates to have a solid and proven expertise in Luxembourg AML/CFT law and market practice concerning private wealth and distributors
  • Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in law, finance or related certifications in AML compliance (e.g. CAMS). Private wealth expertise, including experience with distributors from across the globe, will be considered an asset
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced AML Distribution Private Wealth expert to join a dynamic and growing team
  • The ideal candidate would also have audit and/or control testing/compliance assurance skills
