We are seeking a Lead Oversight Officer to join our oversight team for a 12-month maternity leave cover, ensuring the continued smooth execution of Partners Group's global oversight program. In this role, you will work alongside colleagues to support our network of internal and external service providers, contributing to due diligence activities, ongoing monitoring, and the delivery of quality outcomes. The position also offers exposure to project management and change management initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Service Catalogue Management: Drive the development, optimization, and seamless execution of the Oversight service catalogue, ensuring operational excellence and stakeholder alignment.
- Third-Party Oversight & Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive due diligence engagements and ongoing monitoring activities with service providers; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain documentation and facilitate timely resolution of identified issues through structured remedial action plans.
- Performance Management & Accountability: Establish and maintain robust service provider performance standards in alignment with organizational expectations; implement effective remedial strategies whilst collaborating with business units and subject matter experts.
- Team Leadership & Quality Assurance: Monitor and elevate team KPIs, setting performance benchmarks that ensure the highest quality delivery of the service catalogue.
- Collaboration and Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to advance group-wide initiatives and shape the long-term global vision for Oversight; champion process transformation as a change agent at both local and global levels.
- Project Leadership: Lead and participate in high-impact projects that enhance the Company's overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Escalation Management & Problem Solving: Serve as the escalation point for complex issues, ensuring swift resolution and business continuity; address and resolve multifaceted challenges extending beyond the core oversight mandate.
- Continuous Improvements: Regularly review and enhance oversight processes Sophie gardeand procedures to reflect evolving legal, regulatory, and operational frameworks.
- Board Governance: Contribute meaningfully to board and committee meetings, as well as operational, audit, and regulatory engagements as required.
- Stakeholder Excellence: Manage and respond promptly to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, delivering exceptional service standards.
- Regulatory Compliance & Governance Mindset: Experience maintaining oversight governance frameworks, including adherence to outsourcing and delegation regulations, monitoring contractual performance, and working collaboratively with business stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Sound understanding of fund administration, fund management, and depositary activities, with familiarity in oversight requirements and awareness of relevant legal and regulatory developments.
- Proactive Approach: Self-motivated with an open mindset and the ability to take initiative.
- Commitment to Quality: Well-organized with dedication to high standards in all aspects of work.
- Team Orientation: A team player who contributes positively, shares knowledge, and supports colleagues to achieve collective success.
- Qualifications: Accounting/Finance degree or equivalent professional qualification; minimum 6–8 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or controlling—preferably within the Guernsey fund industry.
- Relevant Experience: Prior experience completing due diligence, audit reports, or monitoring and testing reviews
- Communication: Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
