Partners Group operates a hybrid model with external & internal service providers in place.  The Senior Oversight/Oversight Officer within the Luxembourg Regulatory Oversight team will oversee both internal and external service providers and fulfils all or most of the following criteria:

 

  • You possess a broad understanding of fund administration and depositary activities with specific focus on NAV and reporting, along specialist knowledge of oversight requirements
  • You will assist the team in maintaining a robust oversight governance framework: ensuring adherence to prescribed outsourcing/delegation laws and regulations (AIFMD in particular), monitoring adherence to and assessing performance against contractual/agreed operational frameworks and promoting a partnering approach with our business partners.
  • You will participate and contribute to boards and committees
  • You will gain in-depth knowledge of the business (and related risks) within a reasonable timeframe
  • You are keen on working collaboratively and building trusting relationships with your stakeholders  
  • You possess good accounting knowledge and are familiar with IFRS

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct due diligence visits with service providers, ensuring proper documentation of such visits and ensuring adequate remedial actions are undertaken within pre-agreed timelines
  • Organize and attend regular service review meetings with service providers and ensuring proper documentation and follow up on issues identified
  • Review key performance indicators and escalate any issues internally and/or externally
  • Act as a point of escalation when issues arise at internal and external service providers and assist in identifying and putting solutions and remediation plans in place effectively within agreed timescales
  • Perform sample checks on NAV calculations, fee calculations and other relevant investor and regulatory reporting
  • Ensure operating memorandums and oversight procedures are reviewed on a regular basis and are kept up to date to reflect any changes, including but not limited to operating framework, escalation processes and roles and responsibilities
  • Build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with team members and within Partners Group through identifying common goals and alignment of interests
  • Attend and contribute to operational, audit and regulatory meetings as required, and contribute to group-wide oversight initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with group policies and provide technical support to other team members
  • Lead/participate in specific projects contributing to the overall operating efficiency/effectiveness of the Company's operations
  • Handle requests from internal stakeholders and external stakeholders in a timely manner

 

What we expect

 

  • Accounting/Finance degree or equivalent professional qualification with four to seven years of experience in an accounting/auditing or controlling function preferably within the Luxembourg fund industry.
  • Experience of completing due diligence, audit reports or monitoring & testing reviews
  • Fluency in English and Italian, both written & verbal
  • Furthermore, you are hands-on, highly self-motivated and have an open mindset. You are well-organized, dedicated to high quality standards and meet tight deadlines.
