Senior Quantitative and Investment Risk Manager

What it's about

The Quantitative & Risk Management business unit is responsible for corporate, investment and portfolio risk management activities of Partners Group. The group also contributes in integrated business building activities in relation to tasks of quantitative nature. We are now looking to add an experienced Investment Risk Manager to our growing team of 30+ members across Switzerland, Singapore, Denver and Luxembourg. This position will be based in Luxembourg. You will be part of the investment risk management team and have the following responsibilities:


  • Based in Luxembourg, part of the local risk team composed of other two members
  • Act as the deputy risk management conducting officer of our AIFM
  • Measure, monitor and manage investment risks in private market investment programs and underlying portfolio companies
  • Modelling and analysis of private markets data
  • Preparation of submissions and presentations for senior management and committees
  • Interact with auditors and regulators
  • Operation and enhancement of proprietary private markets systems and models
  • Participate in firm-wide quantitative projects to further enhance our investment risk management activities
What we expect
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in private markets
  • Master’s degree with emphasis on Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
  • Knowledge of the applicable laws and regulations
  • Well-organized and reliable person with an accurate working style
  • Driven and self-motivated person
  • Passion for numbers and quantitative analysis
  • Strong quality excellence and ability to work error-free
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CFA, FRM) desirable but not a requirement
  • Prior experience in computer programming (e.g. Python, SQL) is considered an advantage
