We are seeking a highly motivated Application Specialist to join our dynamic Operations Enablement Chapter. Our team is a vital part of the Business Applications Unit, dedicated to enhancing the quality and reliability of business operations. Responsibilities include:

 

Productivity and Quality

  • Resolve business application issues quickly to ensure smooth operations.
  • Facilitate the transition of application features from development to production.
  • Develop initiatives to continuously improve and optimize operations.
  • Automate manual activities to enhance consistency and efficiency.
  • Participate in small to mid-sized projects related to operations.

 

 Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders during incident/problem management.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with business users and platform team members.
  • Interact with mid-level business leaders to align on operational priorities.
  • Onboard new team members and foster collaboration within the team.

 

Leadership

  • Develop expertise in platform and business applications.
  • Identify areas for self-development and build subject matter expertise.
  • Own at least one operational activity in the platform.
  • Manage escalations related to operational topics.

 

What we expect

 

Preferred skills and experience: 

  • Degree in technology, software engineering or related quantitative field 
  • 5 years of experience in similar role, preferably in technology and/or financial industry 
  • Proficient in working on relational databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server) 
  • Knowledge in cloud services, preferably AWS (certification is a plus) 
  • Knowledge in programming languages, Java and Python is a plus
  • Knowledge in Snowflake is a plus
  • Proficiency with collaboration and project tools like Jira, Confluence
  • Good understanding or have gained experience on at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM, etc. (certification is a plus) 
  • Proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple operations/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail 
  • Experience with incident and problem management 
  • Strong in agile delivery, with release management experience and engineering exposure 
  • Accurate, effective, and independent working style 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to see the big picture, understand how the details contribute to that, and think through the cause-and-effect relationships that can create change 
  • Ability to work under pressure and confidently interact with business users 
  • Excellent communication skills and customer centric approach 
  • Very good language skills in English (written/oral) 
  • Knowledge about private markets would be an advantage
  • Comfortable with both remote and in-office work environments, and open to a shifting schedule.
