Sales Specialist - Broadly syndicated Loans / Liquid Loans

What it's about

In this position you will work in the Client Solutions Team with a primary focus on fundraising and client relationship management for our liquid loan and related products and mandates within the Private Debt business. You will work closely with the relevant investment teams and as part of our global team of Private Debt Asset Class Experts in every aspect of the fundraising and client relationship management.



  • Help to drive the growth of products that invest into Liquid Loans and related assets such as CLO Liabilities from our global investor base (ex US)
  • Primarily focus on:
    • Working with Client Relationship managers to develop the investor base for global and regional liquid loan funds and associated separate account mandates
    • Actively identify fundraising opportunities from new and established relationships and independently convert demand into AUM
    • Working with arranging banks, client relationship management and Liquid Loan portfolio managers to broaden the investor base for US and European CLOs
    • Drive new product development and collaborate with Client Relationship Managers, Structuring and Proposal Writing teams in order to develop convincing and competitive client solutions
    • Actively assist where possible on key private debt fundraising initiatives such as European direct lending funds and mandates
  • Drive client satisfaction through independently provided timely and meaningful portfolio and market updates and provide timely answers and information to any client queries
  • Perform various tasks related to product reporting, internal and client requests
  • Support preparation of broad client events, such as Annual General Meeting, Due Diligence Days, etc.
  • Remain updated on competitor and market landscape and bring forward ideas on how to grow and improve the private debt business

What we expect

Excellent academic credentials, with coursework emphasis on Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, and/or Engineering

  • 3-6 years of work experience in business development, marketing/sales
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Familiarity with S&P LCD, Debtwire, Prequin, intex, or Bloomberg would be an advantage
  • Self-starter and a humble and enthusiastic individual with a passion for private markets
  • An understanding of fixed income, leverage loan, CLO and/or private debt markets and prior industry experience is essential
  • Excellent level of business English – both written and verbal
  • German, French language skills would be an advantage
