Client Relationship Manager

Location:

Singapore, SG Hong Kong, HK

We are one of the largest global private markets investment managers, serving over 800 institutional investors worldwide. We have USD 185 billion in assets under management and around 2,000 professionals across 24 offices worldwide. Partners Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to cultural diversity.

What it's about

Partners Group is seeking a qualified candidate to join its Client Solutions institutional fundraising team based in its Singapore or Hong Kong office. This role will help drive the sales efforts in Asia through focusing on deepening relationships with institutional investors including both existing clients and prospects, with focus on expanding the firm's capital base among insurance company investors across Asia.

The successful candidate will bring deep familiarity with how insurers allocate to private markets, including an understanding of regional regulatory capital frameworks, asset liability considerations, and investment portfolio construction within insurance general accounts.

This individual will work closely with senior leadership to deepen relationships with existing insurance LP clients and develop new insurer relationships across Southeast Asia and Greater China. The role requires a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset combined with strong relationship management skills and the ability to position Partners Group's platform effectively. The candidate should possess a strong work ethic and self-starter mentality, operating in a demanding environment. As needed, the candidate will also cover other institutional LP bases in Asia. Hence knowledge and experience with Asian institutional investors would also be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive capital formation efforts targeting insurance company investors (life, P&C, reinsurers) across Asia Pacific (ex-Australia), with a focus on Southeast Asia and Greater China markets.
  • Support the firm's Chairman of Asia and Managing Director of Greater China to maintain and expand AUM relationships with existing institutional investors in Southeast Asia and Greater China region.
  • Initiate, lead and organize client events including but not limited to presentations, roundtables and roadshows for maintaining and expansion of institutional LP base.
  • Work collaboratively with Partners Group internal teams to gather critical data and facilitate timely responses to client requests at all working levels.
  • Pro-active investment sourcing from clients, prospects, GPs and other industry contacts.
  • Be involved in client onboarding, including CDD, KYC and continued client servicing.
  • Support senior members of the team with presentations, product updates, meeting preparations, and other ad hoc tasks.
  • Monitor competitive landscape, regulatory developments, and industry trends affecting insurance company allocations to private markets across key jurisdictions.

What we expect
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or actuarial qualifications) a plus.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience, with a meaningful portion spent in insurance investment management, insurance asset allocation, or fundraising/coverage of insurance investors. Candidates from insurance company investment teams, insurance-focused asset managers, or institutional sales roles covering insurers are strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of how insurance companies invest in private markets, including familiarity with ALM, regulatory capital regimes, and portfolio construction within general accounts. This is not an insurance distribution or agency role.
  • Established relationships with insurance investment professionals in Asia, particularly in Greater China and/or Southeast Asia, are highly valued.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English and Mandarin. Native Mandarin fluency is a strong plus to work with Greater China stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage complex institutional relationships and fundraising processes.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and presentation capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial drive with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, and sense of urgency.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
