As IT Security Engineer, you will focus on the safeguard of Partners Group's IT ecosystem. You will find yourself engineering, implementing and managing security measures and IT security services to protect Partners Group's IT infrastructure from vulnerabilities and cyber-attacks.  

 

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal security assessments and coordinate with external penetration testing vendors on systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams to remediate findings and strengthen security controls.
  • Lead and support security initiatives and projects across various domains.
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents in coordination with the Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Design technical solutions to address security weaknesses, and work with relevant stakeholders to implement them effectively.
  • Document findings, remediation plans, and contribute to security awareness efforts.

 

Innovate

  • Research emerging trends, AI-driven technique and best practices in application security to identify opportunities for service optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in IT security, vulnerability management, and new technologies, including vendor solutions.

 

Standardise & collaborate

 

  • Provide guidance and expertise to ensure that IT security measures are effectively integrated into all aspects of the organization's IT landscape
  • Participate in application and infrastructure projects to provide security-planning advice

 

What we expect
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related quantitative field
  • 3+ years of relevant working experience or working in similar role, preferably in the financial industry
  • Deep understanding of "security by design" and "privacy by design" concepts, able to articulate secure architectural options to technical and non-technical stakeholders and provide recommendations  
  • Strong planning, strategic thinking, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to keep up with the state-of-the art security and cloud computing trends in the market and quickly comprehend how to apply to Partners Group environments 

 

Desired:

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and threat modeling.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Preferred certification: OSCP or equivalent.
  • Proactive and excellent collaboration with a team-oriented approach to solve business problems with entrepreneurial mindset to constantly improve the status quo.
  • Practical experience of at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban,  SCRUM, etc or with ITSM/ITIL
