Junior Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer

What it's about

The Business Applications Group is closely aligned with the business teams and responsible for the key applications to administer, monitor and analyze Partners Group’s business processes through the investment value chain. It takes care of the availability, development, customization and on-going enhancement of these applications to best support the global business operations of Partners Group. The Junior Infrastructure Engineer focuses on supporting and developing operational and infrastructure strategy within agile and DevOps environments. Working across all platforms within the Business Applications Group to deliver key services with the highest levels of availability, security and resilience for the entire Partners Group business application landscape both on the Cloud and on premise.

We are now looking to add a professional to our growing team, based in Singapore. You will have the following responsibilities:


  • Support and develop infrastructure across technologies both on-prem and cloud
  • Apply best practices throughout the software delivery process for both application delivery and infrastructure as a service
  • Participate in the transition of existing infrastructure to AWS cloud while supporting and maintaining current on-prem infrastructure during transition
  • Develop and improve components shared across entire platform such as: system message handling, mailing and mail processing, feed generation etc.)
  • Contribute to projects helping to deliver on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Create and maintain comprehensive infrastructure and process documentation
What we expect
  • Excellent record of academic achievement, ideally bachelor's degree plus 1-2 years' experience in relevant projects or relevant professional education plus 2-5 years' experience in relevant projects
  • Cloud experience with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud or Azure (IaaS/PaaS)
  • Practical experience with Microsoft infrastructure
  • Experience using GitLab or comparable platform
  • Knowledge of methodologies in: CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, Kanban, Scrum
  • Strong personal organization skills
  • Excellent communicator with a team-oriented approach

Not required but a plus

  • Experience with Jenkins
  • Linux server administration experience
  • Knowledge in Python or Java as well as TSQL for querying databases
