Roles & Responsibilities

This role will act as PG Asia subject matter expert on all aspects of HR risks, compliance and regulatory requirements by working in close partnership with the HR team and country regulators in managing HR control self-assessment resolve business risks and challenges.



  1. Self-Assessment and Implementation (50%)
  • Stay abreast on all employee-related legislative and regulatory changes and/or developments, and ensure changes to rules and regulations are restructured with HR systems, policies, articles, and practices;
  • Identify all potential HR operational risks and flag concerns to relevant HR stakeholders (e.g. HR Ops Asia / HR Ops Manila, Business Partners and/or Regional Heads), to ensure timely action is taken to address concerns;
  • Research, communicate findings and educate the changes in local employment legislation and laws in Asia, and analyze the impact on the Firm, and seek appropriate stakeholders approval for implementation;
  • Design, develop, align, implement and drive relevant HR risk management policies, programs and strategies;
  • Coordinate with different HR Centre Of Excellence to develop Control Self-Assessment;
  • Support all business continuity management activities – policies and plans;
  • Stay abreast of development in data privacy laws in APAC and Global Data Privacy Regulations and support in the implementation of data privacy initiatives involving HR matters.


(b) Compliance & Regulatory (30%)

  • Propose and draft processes, policies and document updates, and continuously work to optimize processes and process documentation always balancing local regulations needs with a global PG and Asia view;
  • Conduct internal checks and support audit activities;
  • Educate and train in Risks, Compliance and Regulatory requirements;
  • Share HR operational risks management and compliance best practices with the team and line managers.


(c) HR Operational (10%)

  • Support on employee relations, case management including investigations;
  • Input, update and track case management and draw insights and trends to address root causes and interventions required;
  • Participate in global/regional/country HR projects in support of the overall global HR business strategy;
  • Manage regulatory reporting e.g. HR Board Paper, MAS, MOM, Infocomm.


(d) Manage outsourcing and offshoring risks (10%)

  • Perform thorough outsourcing and offshoring risk review when selecting outsourced HR service provider and conduct ongoing reviews of the service providers;
  • Ensure service provider agreements are uploaded to Siebel (and/or any other relevant systems);
  • Work closely with external and internal stakeholders on assessment in line with regulatory standards;
  • Identify key risks of the outsourcing and offshoring arrangements and ensure appropriate mitigating controls are put in place;
  • Manage and monitor the outsourced service providers’ performance and offshore activities.
What we expect
  • Minimum Degree holder
  • At least 8 years relevant experience
  • Able to understand and articulate business objectives, risks and dependencies
  • Possess the ability to analyze, interpret and communicate relevant and complex information clearly and accurately
  • Ability to assess risks & identify pragmatic solutions in the context of conflicting demands
  • Self-motivator and team player
