Global Business Development Manager, Infrastructure

What it's about

The Infrastructure team focusses on non-control investments i.e., co-investments, secondaries and primaries on a global scale. As the Global Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will manage fundraising campaigns, develop bespoke solutions and drive overall growth within the firm’s suite of infrastructure products. Ultimately, success in this role will be measured by the attainment of new capital, development of new and innovative investment solutions, as well as providing excellent client service to existing investors.


This is a key role within the firm’s global growth and expansion strategy. You will join a highly regarded asset manager on a successful growth trajectory and enjoy the excitement of an entrepreneurial firm coupled with the strength of a highly experienced and stable platform. The successful candidate will work closely with Relationship Managers to provide clients with a range of top tier investment solutions with an outstanding track record of investment performance.


Skillset and responsibilities include :

  • Technical/ industry expertise
    • Proven expertise within infrastructure with a solid understanding of direct, secondary and primary investments, key competitors, fundraising and industry trends to help position and launch the firm’s offerings effectively and in a timely manner
    • Established credibility and strong reputation as a high integrity, trusted advisor among investors and peers in the private market's investments community
  • Client relationship management
    • Proven track record raising private capital and achieving a high level of client satisfaction across various sales channels in the institutional investor space
    • Network of key decision-makers and influencers within the institutional investment universe including consultants as well as industry colleagues that results in the reciprocal sharing of ideas, referrals, and introductions
    • Ability to map out the infrastructure investor market to detect any white space, and develop new investor leads
  • Organizational and fundraising campaign management
    • Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and execute end-to-end fundraising campaigns including, term sheets, offering documents, presentation materials, due diligence questionnaires, RFPs and other relevant documentation
    • Provide updates and maintain seamless communication with existing investors; identify re-up and cross selling opportunities within the firm’s existing investor base
    • Lead initiatives to differentiate Partners Group in the market and help build the firm’s brand including (i) organization of Partners Group events, (ii) driving thought-leadership content and representing Partners Group as a speaker at industry conferences

  • Bachelor’s degree required, and MBA and/ or CFA/ CAIA preferred
  • 10+ years of investment management/ fundraising experience within infrastructure, prior experience as an asset/ portfolio manager is a plus
  • Ability to drive a product business plan, including development of new investment solutions
  • Willingness to travel 50%
  • Fluency in German is a plus
