Investment Leader - Private Real Estate Integrated (London UK or Zug, Switzerland)

What it's about

In this position you will be responsible for sourcing, assessing, executing, and monitoring private real estate non-control/minority ownership investments (continuation vehicles, secondaries, co-investments) alongside trusted investment partners. Your tasks will include: 

  • Support management team in sourcing non-control real estate investment opportunities
  • Manage quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective non-control investments
  • Prepare and lead due diligence calls and asset visits with operating partners and investment managers etc.
  • Negotiate transaction terms and coordinate the various advisors and stakeholders involved in the respective investment opportunity
  • Prepare investment memoranda for Investment Committee meetings and present the investment case to the committee
  • Investment monitoring post-closing 
  • Proactive relationship building and cultivation with potential investment partners and inter-mediaries
  • Support investment solutions team with capital raising (preparation of investment updates and attending fundraising meetings)
  • Managing, coaching and mentoring junior teammates
     
What we expect

For this challenging position, we are looking for a person who works well in a very entrepreneurial organization, someone who is a self-starter and possesses strong networking, negotiation and organization skills.

The successful candidate should have the following profile:

  • Top academic credentials (Master’s/MBA/CFA preferred), with a coursework emphasis on Finance, Economics and/or Real Estate
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the private real estate/private equity market with a leading investment manager or investment bank
  • Existing network in the advisory, banking, intermediary community and owners/operators within Real Estate
  • Thorough knowledge of Word and Excel (modeling skills required) and the ability to conduct investment research
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills and a strong desire 
  • to learn and succeed
  • Be proactive on assignments/projects and demonstrate initiative
  • Able to complete projects on time and accurately and be able to multi-task
  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
