Operating Analyst Healthcare

What it's about

In this position you will be part of the Industry Value Creation team responsible for working with our Healthcare portfolio companies to identify and drive value creation projects, from the due diligence through the exit process. You will work alongside the investment teams to source, assess, execute, monitor and exit private equity transactions. We are looking for an individual with industry expertise in Healthcare and a strong interest in moving into the private equity space.


The three core responsibilities:

Value Creation: Identify, initiate and assist management teams in our Healthcare portfolio companies in strengthening the company and growing EBITDA

Industry expertise: Collaborate with our investment teams during the investment process on operational and market due diligence

Sourcing: Analyse and characterize industry segments with transformational growth opportunities, identify attractive investment opportunities and initiate our contact to management and ownership


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Working with investment teams to scope, assess, and execute healthcare opportunities
  • Working with management and the investment teams to assess the operational maturity of existing and potential portfolio companies in order to identify improvement areas
  • Developing and aligning operational value creation opportunities with management and initiating, planning and monitoring their execution, if necessary actively assisting on running value creation projects
  • Building the knowledge base of Partners Group by structuring operational knowledge and best practices and training and coaching the investment teams in operational aspects
  • Conducting various supporting tasks
  • Collaborating effectively with investment teams in other asset classes
  • Striving to consistently uphold Partners Group core values of Partnership, Excellence, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Passion

What we expect

We are looking for a person who works well in a highly entrepreneurial organization, someone who is a self-starter and possesses strong people and organization skills. The successful candidate should have the following profile:

  • Top academic credentials, with emphasis on Life Sciences, Business, Finance and/or Engineering
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree plus 2-4 years of relevant work experience (healthcare-focused experience through industry or a leading strategy consultancy)
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication, able to engage and motivate others across all levels of seniority
