Private Debt Sr. Deal Closer (Zug)

What it's about

You will work alongside Partners Group's investment professionals in the transaction closing process for Direct Debt investments. Your main responsibility will be to ensure a seamless closing process. You will maintain the overall view of what is required to bring a transaction to closing, and you will drive and coordinate various related work streams with both internal and external parties. 


  • Work alongside the investment teams in Switzerland and UK in the transaction closing process
  • Manage the overall execution (closing) of debt transactions by coordinating and monitoring the status of various workstreams across teams and jurisdictions
  • Coordinate the funding process including working with the Treasury team to arrange capital calls, arrange bridge financing, and communicate with 3rd party agents and counterparties 
  • Liaise with internal and external counsels on various closing-related steps such as the set-up of acquisition structures, preparation and execution of transaction documentation and other deal-specific requirements
  • Coordinate with agents and other counterparties the transaction settlement process 
  • Create and drive the transaction closing steps plan and ensure fulfilment of conditions precedent
  • Coordinate with internal teams' various processes related to the internal set up and execution of the deal
  • Identify and drive improvement opportunities for the team and the overall execution process

What we expect
  • Top academic credentials in business administration, economics, finance and/or law
  • 3-6 years of transaction experience, preferably with exposure to debt and/or closings of private markets transactions
  • Experience in private markets/financial services industry or consulting. Previous experience at private debt / equity firm, law firm, advisory firm or similar is valued
  • Knowledge of the LSTA / LMA loan markets, Clearpar or WSO beneficial but not required
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
