Team Head Transparency Reporting

What it's about

We are looking for an experienced hire to manage a team in relation to product fee reporting to clients. This senior member will be part of the Financial Reporting team, which is globally in charge of product reporting and product audits. The team has its presence in Zug, Singapore and Manila. The team is responsible for the global audit coordination and financial statements preparation, with an extension of fee reporting to clients. 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

Managing a new Expense Transparency Reporting team for both closed-ended and semi-liquid programs as well as supporting the Financial Reporting team members during peak periods.

 

Key areas of the function will be: 

  • Leading the Expense Transparency Reporting team, including managing  1-2 supporting mid-level or junior team members in day-to-day activities
  • Actively managing and effectively collaborating with stakeholders in other key internal teams such as Compliance, Client Solutions, Product Management, Risk Management and external partners
  • Interpreting  and implementing any related regulatory requirements, updates and guidelines such as SECA (CH), CTI, TCA, DCPT (UK), ASIC/ RG97 (AUS), PRIIPS / MIFID (EU)
  • Managing currently ongoing as well as future process, system, and/ or control improvement projects, including supporting sub-streams
  • Managing the compilation and review of the underlying financial information obtained from other supporting teams, including external service providers
  • Managing the TER (SECA, Switzerland), PRIIPS/ MiFID (EU) annual reviews and other ad-hoc internal and external reporting processes relating to expense transparency and related regulatory topics
  • Internal and external communication (verbally and written) across multiple functions and all levels of seniority
  • Acting as a company-wide subject matter expert on expense transparency and related regulatory topics
  • Proactive coaching and training of more junior colleagues (as required)

 

What we expect
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience from the financial services industry or audit
  • Experience within alternative investments financial reporting (including complex structures), with an ability to interpret different type of accountings standards
  • Understanding and experience with different private markets investment structures and strategies , with the ability to proactively identify, communicate, and address any operational challenges, risks, or potential improvements
  • Candidates with experience in SECA (CH), CTI, TCA, DCPT (UK), ASIC/RG97 (AUS), PRIIPS / MIFID (EU) regulatory reporting will be preferred, displaying ability to understand regulatory requirements and their practical application
  • Leadership skills with experience in leading and guiding a team
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects relating to process, systems, and/ or control improvements within the financial services industry
  • Flair for systems, with an ability to understand current set-up and having the skillset of implementing new solutions together with Business Applications
  • Effective communication and presentation skills while collaborating, communicating and presenting to stakeholders across different functions and all levels of seniority in an international setting,
  • Experience in coaching more junior members, while providing proactive, constructive upward and downward feedback
  • Proficiency in English required; proficiency in German preferred
  • Clear career vision: understanding of the firm’s business and industry
