Partners Group's Summer Associate Program is an opportunity for early-stage professionals with top credentials to embark on a long-term and challenging career with a world-leading private markets manager. We are looking for outstanding candidates who will thrive and become active members in our entrepreneurial organization. Summer Associates will work on one of our investment teams (Private Equity, Private Infrastructure, Private Real Estate, Private Debt) to gain immediate exposure to senior leaders and decision makers.

 

Throughout the internship, Summer Associates will work with investment captains to independently develop investment theses and write investment recommendations for presentation to investment committee. Summer Associates are expected to take full responsibility over one or several work streams of investment diligence and underwriting and/or portfolio company value creation initiatives. In addition to day-to-day investment work and portfolio company work, Summer Associates are to submit a capstone deliverable consisting of a prospective investment memorandum in support of Partners Group's thematic sourcing efforts.

 

Summer Associate Program Structure

 

  • 10-week summer internship at Partner's Group regional HQ in Broomfield, CO (located midway between downtown Denver and Boulder)
  • Dedicated onboarding and training comprised of internal best practices and financial modeling training
  • Mentoring from an experienced manager and exposure to senior management
  • Following a successful internship, candidates may be invited to join their team in a full-time role following graduation in 2026
What we expect
  • Top academic credentials from a leading university and currently enrolled in a full-time, two-year MBA program (or equivalent Master's degree program), graduating in 2026.
  • 2-5 years relevant full-time work experience, considering the below team descriptions:
    • Private Equity, Health & Life: The Health & Life vertical is focused on global healthcare and life science companies. Currently Health & Life has a smaller portfolio of investments than other verticals. The portfolio has performed extremely well and is poised to expand on its recent growth given the inherent importance of healthcare. Recent examples of portfolio investments include: EyeCare Partners, the largest vertically integrated medical vision services provider in the US, and Confluent Health, a US-based healthcare system of physical and occupational therapy providers.
    • Private Equity, Technology: The Technology vertical invests in a variety of global information technology companies, largely focused in the software and service provider space. The team has increased its focus in the market and continued to hone its expertise over the last five years. Recent examples of portfolio investments include: GlobalLogic, a US-based provider of outsourced software product engineering services, and Civica, a leading UK provider of business-critical software, digital solutions and outsourcing services.
    • Private Equity, Services: The Services vertical is focused on investing in global companies that provide critical business solutions across utilities, education, financing, and security, amongst others. The team is the largest of the four verticals by invested amount. Recent examples of portfolio investments include: Techem, a leading Germany sub-metering service provider, and USIC, a US-based leading provider of infrastructure locating services, which marks subsurface structures prior to the commencement of construction or excavation activities.
    • Private Equity, Goods & Products: The Goods & Products vertical invests in global industrial and manufacturing companies across a variety of consumer goods including, food, jewelry, clothing, and mechanical industries. The team is the largest vertical by number of investments. Recent examples of portfolio investments include: BCR, a China-based retail display solution provider which creates and installs display fixtures in retail outlets, and Schleich, a German toy manufacturer active in figurines and playsets.
    • Private Equity Partnerships: The Partnerships team focuses on private equity fund investments, secondary and co-investments in and alongside private equity funds. Professionals on this team participate in all aspects of private market investments, as well as develop investment skills and build industry relationships
    • Private Infrastructure: The team focuses on control and control-oriented Infrastructure investments. The team targets investments across Infrastructure sub-sectors including Energy, Communications, Transportation, Utilities, and Infrastructure Services. Team members typically have experience working either in corporate finance roles in relevant industries, investment banking, or in other principal investing roles.
    • Private Real Estate: The team focuses on value-add and opportunistic control equity investments. The team targets investments across various sectors including office, logistics/industrial, residential, hospitality, and retail. Team members typically have experience working in real estate finance, asset management, or brokerage.
    • Private Debt: The team provides private debt solutions (unitranche, second lien, HoldCo PIK notes, preferred equity, and common equity) primarily to back private equity-sponsored leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and acquisitions. Team members typically have experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, or private capital.
  • Must have the right to work in the United States.
