Client Relationship Manager

Since then, Partners Group has developed a market leading position with many of the largest pension funds, insurance companies, family offices and private banks across Latin America.

 

This position will join the ambitious and dynamic Client Solutions Latin America team based in Colorado. The main functions of this position are expected to include:

  • Act as the first point-of-contact for existing and prospective clients in Latin America through regular in-person meetings, phone calls and other communications
  • Develop a thorough understanding of clients' portfolios and Partners Group's investment solutions (i.e. products and separate account mandate solutions) in order to match clients' needs
  • Thoughtfully plan in-country meetings/roadshows/events in Latin America to develop client relationships, promote key Partners Group product offerings, update clients on the development of their Partners Group portfolio, and attract new clients
  • Develop relationships with key public regulators in Latin America and advocate for the further development of private markets for institutional clients in the region
  • Work collaboratively with Partners Group's internal teams (i.e. investment teams, RFP team, client service team, portfolio management, research, etc.) to best serve clients' needs
  • Proactively source new investment opportunities for Partners Group to consider from existing and prospective clients
  • Understand key competitors' offerings and know how to best position Partners Group's solutions
  • Help to oversee and manage junior professionals on the team, and in the Client Solutions department
  • Work closely with team members to prepare materials for client meetings/roadshows/events
  • Travel anticipated to be approximately 50% of work time
What we expect
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA, Master's and/or CFA preferred) with strong academic background
  • 5-10 years of highly relevant work experience (preferably in private markets industry); experience with institutional investors in Chile and/or Peru is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and identifying/converting new institutional clients with a track record of fundraising success
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with native Spanish language skills (most business conducted in English; however, Spanish speaking/writing skills are extremely helpful)
  • Excellent organization, project management, and multitasking skills
  • Self-drive to find ways to improve the team's efficiency and effectiveness with clients
  • Passion for working with institutional clients in a very professional, ethical way
  • Strong negotiating skills (for internal and client discussions)
  • Reliable, positive attitude and team player
  • Ability to form relationships throughout the firm in order to best access information for client purposes
