What it's about

In this position, you will be responsible for working with our portfolio companies to identify and execute value creation projects, from the due diligence through the exit process. You will work alongside the investment teams to source, assess, execute, monitor and exit private equity transactions. We are looking for an individual with strong industry and consulting experience in the Technology space, combined with a genuine interest in moving into the private equity.


The three core responsibilities:


Value Creation: Identify, initiate and assist our management teams on value creation initiatives in our portfolio companies 

Industry expertise: Collaborate with our investment teams on operational and market due diligence in the investment process 

Monitoring and valuation: Continuous monitoring of the companies in our portfolio including the definition of timely fair valuations 


Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Working with management and the investment teams to assess the operational maturity of existing and potential portfolio companies in order to identify possible improvement areas
  • Developing and aligning operational value creation opportunities with management and initiating, plan and monitor their execution, if necessary you will actively assist on running value creation projects
  • Proactively source investment opportunities from the Partners Group network as well as from your industry contacts for direct investments into companies as well as for investments into private equity funds
  • Build the knowledge base of Partners Group by structuring operational knowledge and best practices and training and coaching the investment teams in operational aspects
  • Strive to consistently uphold Partners Group core values


What we expect


  • Top academic credentials, with emphasis on Business and/or Engineering
  • Undergraduate degree plus 5 years of relevant work experience, or MBA degree plus 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in Technology at leading strategy consultancy and relevant industry experience
  • Experience in successfully implementing change management programs that significantly increased the operational maturity and delivered measurable financial impact
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication, able to engage and motivate others across all levels of seniority, from business owners and CEOs to junior staff
  • A self-directed person, able to manage effectively and complete tasks in demanding timelines and with competing priorities
  • Well-balanced across strategic and operational domains; able to step back from the day-to-day to coach and advise, combined with an ability to dive deep into the detail as and when required
  • Willingness to travel, primarily in the Americas region
