Infrastructure Asset Management Associate - Americas

What it's about

This role is part of the growing global Private Infrastructure Asset Management (PrIAM) team within the Partners Group infrastructure investment team. The global portfolio of investments includes midstream energy, power, transportation, communications infrastructure, and infrastructure support businesses. The team is dedicated to delivering the value from investments in companies and assets made by the Infrastructure team on behalf of our clients.

 

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the senior team members, whom are responsible for the management of the private infrastructure investments. You will also have broader team operational responsibilities. This will include:

  • Completing asset management due diligence investment committee papers
  • Demonstrating good deal judgment, including providing insightful comments on a company's business model and market positioning
  • Independently managing the due diligence support for investments & preparing recommendations for the value creation plan
  • Having the ability to work independently with management team members to drive and deliver value creation within portfolio companies
  • Driving post-investment value creation initiatives as a PMO leader (project management office), ensuring value creation initiatives are progressing according to strategic and business plans
  • Significant asset management activity, including coordinating performance reporting, incident reporting, cyber security, new legislation, marketing, and other project activities
  • Providing 'best practice' industry benchmarking (i.e. technical, operational) support
  • Undertaking multiple monthly valuation updates of selected American assets
  • Developing internal and external presentations
  • Supporting client meetings focusing on methods and case study explanation
What we expect

·         Strong industry experience and has demonstrated an ability to work closely with management teams

·         Strong academic credentials in any of the following - Business, Finance, Economics, and/or Engineering

·         Experience / understanding of accounting / valuation principles

·         Between 3-5 years of relevant international industry experience (previous experience in advisory, consulting, or banking is valued)

·         A strong desire and modesty to learn

·         Strong intellect, entrepreneurial, and self-directed individual with demonstrable ability to effectively complete tasks with demanding timelines and competing priorities

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and convince others

·         Developed listening and influencing skills

·         Thorough knowledge of Excel (some modeling skills required), PowerPoint, Word, and the ability to conduct research

·         Strong work ethic, professional demeanor and appearance
