Investment Leader, Infrastructure Partnership Investments

In this position you will support the Private Infrastructure investment team and take part in all aspects of private infrastructure investments. This includes sourcing, assessing, executing and monitoring private infrastructure transactions with a focus on North American infrastructure secondaries (continuation funds, structured solutions, and LP trades) and equity co-investments.
The target role location is in our Houston, TX office. We are also considering candidates for our Broomfield, CO office.
- Source infrastructure investment opportunities (direct and secondary fund investments)
- Lead quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective private infrastructure investments
- Structure creative transactions, interacting with infrastructure GPs and intermediaries
- Compile and review valuation models, prepare investment recommendations for private infrastructure investments addressed to Partners Group’s Investment Committee
- Take a lead role in monitoring infrastructure investments and managing relationships to infrastructure managers in Americas, including regular interaction with investment partners (includes travel within North America)
- Perform various tasks related to product reporting, monitoring investments, market research, internal requests, and marketing efforts
For this challenging position, we are looking for a person who works well in a very entrepreneurial organization, someone who is a self-starter and possesses strong numerical, networking and organization skills. The successful candidate should have the following profile:
- 8+ years of relevant work experience, preferably including background in principal investing and investment banking
- Demonstrated network in the infrastructure investments industry
- Experience leading transaction due diligence and managing junior investment professionals (Associates and Analysts)
- Excellent analytical, financial, interpersonal, and client-facing skills, combined with the desire to learn and succeed
- Independent and curious minded, the role involves learning and acting on your own accord
- Top academic credentials (Master's/MBA/CFA optional) with a coursework emphasis on Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics and/or Engineering
- Expert knowledge of Excel and financial modeling skills; ability to conduct research and cope with incomplete information
- Travel often to our New York and other offices to interact with the rest of the team
