What it's about

 

We are seeking a full-time Credit Research Financial Analyst – Associate to join our growing Liquid Credit Team, based in London. This permanent role offers the opportunity to support senior investment professionals across credit research, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and investment execution within the Liquid Credit platform.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support senior credit professionals in preparing detailed credit analysis and investment papers for new issue and secondary leveraged loan and high yield transactions
  • Assist in ongoing portfolio monitoring, including maintaining and updating financial models, tracking company performance, and reporting relevant sector and market developments
  • Participate in team meetings and investment committee discussions, contributing analytical input and assisting with documentation as required
  • Conduct market and sector research to identify relevant trends, risks, and opportunities across credit markets
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects related to investment analysis, portfolio reporting, or internal process improvements as needed

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a top-tier university
  • 1–3 years of relevant full-time experience in credit research, investment banking, leveraged finance, or corporate credit analysis
  • Solid understanding of financial modelling and corporate finance fundamentals, with the ability to analyse capital structures, cash flows, and credit documentation
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good understanding of leveraged loan and high yield bond markets, and awareness of broader credit market dynamics
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, ownership-oriented attitude
