What it's about

 

The Portfolio Management business unit is responsible for the strategic steering and portfolio management of the private market bespoke solutions of Partners Group. The group furthermore supports the acquisition & retention of institutional clients and distribution partners with an emphasis on segregated accounts, open-ended ("evergreen") private market solutions and new product initiatives.

We are now looking to add a Portfolio Analyst to our market-leading and growing USD 44bn evergreen practice, based in London. You will be part of the Portfolio Management team and have the following day-to-day responsibilities: 

  • Support in the ongoing portfolio management of evergreen products, including liquidity management, investment level steering, performance and asset allocation
  • Work closely with our investment teams to optimize new investment allocations and manage and monitor existing positions
  • Support in creating bespoke portfolio solutions for existing and new clients, focusing on strategic asset allocation, investment returns/risk and cash flow modelling
  • Operation and enhancement of proprietary private markets systems and models
  • Modelling and analysis of private markets data
  • Reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support in creating presentations for new and existing clients

 

What we expect

 

  • University degree, with strong academic background in a quantitative field, e.g. Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar
  • 2-4 years of professional work experience in asset management, banking, consulting or similar
  • Progression towards or completion of a professional qualification (e.g. CFA, CAIA) desirable but not a requirement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (knowledge of Python/SQL is a plus)
  • Passion for numbers and quantitative analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and succeed
  • Attention to detail and ability to work error-free
  • Effective and reliable team player
