Investment Risk Analyst

What it's about

 

For this position we are looking for an investment risk analyst in our Luxembourg office.

The Quantitative & Risk Management team is responsible for corporate, investment and portfolio risk management activities of Partners Group. The team also contributes to integrated business building activities in relation to tasks of quantitative nature. We are now looking to add a risk analyst to our growing team of 30+ members across Switzerland, Singapore and Luxembourg.

 

About the role

Based in Luxembourg, you will be part of the Quantitative & Risk Management team and have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform risk assessment for existing and new AIFs, determination of risk profile and risk limits (market, credit, liquidity, counterparty, operational)
  • Monitor compliance of the risk profile with the risk limits and escalation to the senior management when necessary
  • Develop our proprietary private markets systems and models (python based)
  • Reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist the Conducting Officer Risk Management in the day-to-day activities.
  • Production of regular reporting to CSSF (e.g. Annex IV)
  • Preparation of submissions and presentations for senior management and committees
  • Participate in firm-wide quantitative projects to further enhance our investment risk management activities

 

What we expect

 

  • 2-5 years of experience in risk management, or consulting / advisory experience in public or private markets
  • University degree in a quantitative field such as finance, business, economics or mathematics,
  • Passion for numbers and quantitative analysis
  • Familiarity with Luxembourg risk management regulations and frameworks
  • Strong quality excellence and ability to work error-free
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CFA, FRM) desirable but not a requirement
  • Prior experience in computer programming (e.g. Python, SQL) is considered an advantage
  • Fluency in English
