What it's about

In this position you will act as a senior member of the Customer Due Diligence ('CDD') team, who owns/develops the AML/CDD technical expertise and is responsible for compliance assurance. Partners Group operates a CDD team which oversees the execution on investor AML/CDD matters by our service provider. In this role the candidate and the wider CDD team operate in close conjunction with the Compliance team and the service providers engaged to perform AML/CDD tasks for us in addition to other stakeholders such as local committee members, investors and regulatory bodies.

 

Your tasks will include:

 

•;Acting as the thought leader and undisputed technical expert on CDD matters in the jurisdiction where you are located and acting as the reference point for CDD knowledge globally, with the clear expectation of you building up certain global expertise and acting as a sounding board for CDD knowledge globally

 

• Being the CDD team's internal and external compliance assurance control i.e. i) internally within the global CDD team to ensure that regulatory requirements/expectations are appropriately translated into the operational set-up and procedures catalogue and ii) externally vis-a-vis service providers to ensure service delivery is in line with regulation and Partners Group expectations;

 

• Leading and/or meaningfully contributing to the technical workstreams of AML/CDD projects which objectives are to contribute to the firm's growth and digitalisation strategies;

 

• Managing and ably resolving challenging CDD in a timely manner, in compliance with regulation and in line with stakeholder expectations. In this respect, making the right judgement calls leveraging previous experience and know-how;

 

• Owning the assessment of regulatory change and accomplishing seamless transition/implementation into operations;

 

• Coaching and developing CDD team members and other internal stakeholders, including Partners Group's client solutions members and other relevant employees, on technical knowledge to enable proper fulfilment and execution of duties;

 

• Successfully managing stakeholder relationships and expectations, including those of investors and of Partners Group's client solutions teams, local boards and global committees;

 

• Collaborating with the Head of CDD Operations and other CDD technical experts across the globe on various projects and tasks deliverables.

What we expect

This is a Member of Management position suited to a professional with a minimum of 9 – 12 years of relevant work experience. We expect candidates to have solid AML/CDD experience and advanced know-how in the field, together with a demonstrable ability to independently take decisions and make the right judgement calls. Candidates should excel at business implementation of regulatory requirements. Ideally, the candidate should have experience in AML/CDD matters beyond Luxembourg and would have worked in this ambit in other jurisdictions.
