Compliance Monitoring Analyst (with risk advisory and consulting experience)

What it's about

You will be joining Partners Group's Compliance Monitoring team in Manila. In this position, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for assessing compliance risks and controls implemented by the first and second line. As a Compliance Monitoring Analyst, you will also be responsible for supporting the global team in performing annual risk assessments and conducting independent monitoring and testing activities to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of key controls designed to monitor compliance-related, regulatory, and legal risks.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing, implementing, and executing compliance testing, continuous assurance, and reporting tasks in accordance with the Compliance Risk Assessment and Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Help implementing the new Communication Surveillance application with an initial responsibility in drafting and executing the controls related to our communication surveillance
  • Collaboration in ad-hoc investigations and deep-dives as needed
  • Collaboration in the annual Compliance Risk Assessment and Compliance Monitoring Plan review
  • Documenting report findings, and having preliminary discussions with corresponding control/process owners and local Compliance Officers
  • Utilizing innovative compliance testing solutions including Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and machine learning / Business Intelligence tools to increase value and efficiency
  • Developing effective relationships within the local and global team and with other internal and external stakeholders including business process owners
  • Identifying industry best practices and share insight within the team and organization
  • Collaboration with regulatory Compliance officers globally to discuss potential topics for new controls, implementing the controls and providing reporting on the findings
  • Support with local Compliance matters that might arise (Data Privacy, DOLE, BIR, PEZA and SEC)
  • Continuous training and development using our internal PG Academy programs or external providers and certifications
What we expect
  • We are looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree
  • Preferably a CPA with working experience in consulting or advisory services. Additional certifications like CIA, CISA or CRISC are a plus
  • You should have 3-5 years of working experience in the areas of consulting or advisory services, internal audit or compliance. A background in the financial services industry and/or in the field of Communication Surveillance is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to easily develop and maintain effective relationships within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaborate with team members
  • Fast learner with strong analytical, methodical, and problem-solving skills. You should also be able to work independently, implement processes and procedures successfully
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
