As a Compliance Monitoring Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting and further build a comprehensive and modern compliance program. You'll collaborate closely with the global compliance team to maintain and monitor the compliance risk assessment, develop and execute monitoring plans, and ensure adherence to regulatory obligations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and execute compliance monitoring plans to assess adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and processes
- Analyze complex data to evaluate adherence to internal policies and external regulations and prepare detailed reports
- Investigate compliance incidents or violations, prepare summaries of findings, and provide recommendations for corrective actions
- Monitor corrective actions taken in response to compliance issues to ensure effectiveness and adherence to prescribed timelines
- Conduct regular assessments of company practices, processes, and controls to identify potential compliance issues or areas for improvement
- Maintain, use and further develop all compliance related business applications to scale and improve a more automated assurance process
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to provide guidance on compliance-related matters and facilitate training sessions to promote understanding of compliance obligations
- Stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring updates are communicated and integrated within the team
- Serve as a point of contact for compliance inquiries, providing support and guidance to employees regarding compliance issues or concerns
- Further develop our data analytics and testing setup to enhance value and efficiency
- Support the full implementation of a modern compliance and governance framework
- Participate in local and global projects to support compliance initiatives
- Collaborate on ad-hoc investigations and deep-dives as needed
- Support local Compliance matters that may arise
- Engage in continuous training and development through our internal PG Academy programs or external providers and certifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting or Internal Auditing
- Preferably a CPA with experience in consulting or advisory services. Additional certifications like CIA, CISA, or CRISC are a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in consulting or advisory services, internal audit, or compliance. A background in the financial services industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications with a genuine interest in leveraging Generative AI and other technological developments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization
- The ability to work efficiently and collaborate with team members
- A fast learner with strong analytical, methodical, and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently
