The Business Application Group Operations Enablement chapter's mandate is to build proactive operational capabilities to assure and continuously improve quality and reliability of business operations, define and execute controls for service transition and deliver enabling experience for users through seamless service and tailored knowledge management.
To support our ongoing efforts, we are currently seeking an Operations Enablement Expert to join our dynamic team in Manila. The team in Manila collaborates globally with the Business Application agile operating model. Build Chapter Capabilities and Develop People
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the Chapter's service catalogue and capabilities
- Develop the skillset of Application Specialists in knowledge management, incident and problem management and release management to ensure successful and stable business operations
- Establish and promote assurance that the right talent is available to meet platform resource requirements and that they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to provide consistently high-quality service.
- Provide strong people and business leadership competence by initiating and executing initiatives for the Chapter
- Perform oversight of work shifts
Transition
- Lead projects and engage during the development phase up to production deployment and 2nd level operations support, collaborating with platform teams in tasks to ensure smooth transition
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and manage releases of multiple applications within platform production environment
Maintain and operate
- Work with business users globally to find solutions for their business problems related to the core business applications
- Own and optimize operational and monitoring processes within the Finance Technology platform
- Manage and oversee routine application maintenance, migrations and upgrades
- Analyze data & application-related issues to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor and analyze metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the delivery of services
Enable customer experience and innovate
- Train business end users on new solutions, features, releases and processes
- Drive initiatives to maintain and elevate knowledge management
- Develop preventive measures and work together with platform teams on automation and operational improvement opportunities
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Translate feature/functionality into business outcomes
You have the following qualifications:
- Degree in technology, software engineering or related quantitative field
- 15+ years of experience in similar role, preferably in technology and/or financial industry
- Good understanding or have gained experience on at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM, etc. (certification is a plus)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to see the big picture, understand how the details contribute to that, and think through the cause-and-effect relationships that can create change
- Proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple operations/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Extensive experience with SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud support and integration projects
- Experience in working on relational databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server)
- Proficiency with collaboration and project tools like Jira, Confluence
- Extensive experience with incident and problem management
- Knowledge in cloud services, preferably AWS (certification is a plus)
- Strong in agile delivery, with release management experience and engineering exposure
- Accurate, effective and independent working style
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and confidently interact with business users
- Excellent communication skills and customer centric approach
- Very good language skills in English (written/oral)
- Knowledge about private markets would be an advantage
