A Finance Applications Professional is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's master data and performing basic configurations in Finance systems. The ideal candidate has excellent data analysis skills, first-hand experience in systems configuration, and is responsible for improving the quality and integrity of the organization's data. This position requires the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams to complete data projects accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily data creation, database maintenance, and basic configuration of Finance systems in a timely manner
- Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of master data across the organization.
- Assist with data cleansing, data enrichment, and small configuration activities.
- Provide assistance and guidance to other team members and coordinate with other teams to ensure the timely and accurate entry of data.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Develop and update documentation of standard operating procedures, policies, and ensure compliance with ongoing data governance initiatives.
- Analyze business processes and propose changes to streamline work processes and support continuous data quality improvement.
- Deliver training regarding master data management principles and the proper use of related applications.
- Manage and/or lead the execution of data and applications projects to optimize processes or functions within systems.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Master Data Management or applications support.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to produce actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate with multiple teams to complete data projects.
- Proficiency with Finance systems (i.e. SAP, TIS, Blackline, Ivalua, etc.) and MS Office.
- Knowledge of data governance and data stewardship principles, data cleansing, and data quality improvement techniques.
- Basic project management skills and a proactive approach to learning processes, software, and systems.
