Lead Fund Controller

What it's about

You will be part of Partners Group's Product Accounting business unit.  In this role, you will be supporting the Team Head to lead the operations of the Investment Control Team responsible for the accurate and timely submission of the monthly, quarterly, and annual net asset value validation including P&L allocation, investment reconciliations, investment analysis, and onboarding of investments.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • To understand and obtain good command of processes, roles and responsibilities across the firm.
  • Acts as a role model within the Business Unit with regards to passion for working in Accounting Control, and is known for an overall positive attitude towards colleagues, the work environment and arising challenges.
  • Directly handles the validation of monthly net asset value of several investment vehicles, including:
    • Profit and loss allocation (P&L)
    • Portfolio/Investment valuation analysis
    • Stock distribution valuation (In-Kind-distribution)
    • Reconciliation of Investments
    • Onboarding of Investments
  • Reviews and monitors work done by team members in Investment Control Team.
  • Supports the Team Head and contribute to the development of the team members by performing oversight on team's operations and providing trainings as needed.
  • Takes ownership and provides guidance to team members on how to resolve issues related to investment related matters.
  • Initiates and promotes collaboration across teams, leads challenging and constructive dialogue with team members and all internal and external stakeholders to achieve the most desirable outcome.

 

What we expect
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration; CPA preferred
  • More than 7 years of accounting or audit experience preferably with exposure in managing a team
  • Have deep understanding of various investment related vehicles specifically related to Private Equity
  • Professionally matured and well organized, self-driven and meticulous
  • Ability to integrate with a dynamic and multi-cultural growing team
