What it's about

Partners Group's Client Engagement team, embedded within the firm's sales department, is responsible for creating engaging marketing materials and events, as well as introducing technical innovations to support sales and marketing operations. In this position, you will work closely on driving technical innovations and collaborate with the client relationship team to manage a high volume of client data requests and drive data governance. This involves coordinating with specialist teams (Quantitative and Risk Management, investment teams, business applications) to procure/track relevant data, leveraging internal quantitative tools/business intelligence software, and seamlessly integrating the data.

 

To support ongoing efforts in marketing and sales digitization and data governance and management initiatives, we are seeking a proactive Manila-based Project Manager (Product Owner / Data Governance). This role is equally divided between the responsibilities of a Product Owner, focusing on driving technical and application innovations, and a Data Governance Specialist, ensuring effective data management and governance practices.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Take lead on select software projects / products in a dynamic Sales and Marketing environment for a varied software stack
  • Work closely with key business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into product requirements.
  • Drive data governance and evaluate business processes and propose solutions to optimize features, processes and data quality (including data governance principles/KPIs) independently and in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Deliver strategic and tactical solutions and feature improvements using an Agile approach for both SaaS and in-house developed applications
  • Knowledge of SQL to query and analyze data within MS SQL databases and derive strategic insights
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap based on business needs.
  • Develop user stories, define acceptance criteria, and perform user acceptance testing.
  • Oversee project deliverables, ensuring timely and successful project completion, ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to the business activities i.e. regulatory requirements, data retention rules

 

What we expect
  • Bachelor's degree in business / IT or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager / Product Owner, Business Analyst preferably in the Financial Services industry
  • Proven project management/Business Analysis certification like Prince2, PMP, CAPM, CSM, Agile, Safe etc.
  • Experience with rolling out digital initiatives/projects
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; Advanced Excel skills are required; basic knowledge of SQL Database queries is necessary
  • Very proactive and solution-oriented self-starter personality
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with high degree of flexibility and strong self-starter personality.
  • Detail-oriented with a solution-driven mindset, and a willingness to learn and inspire change
  • Experience with enterprise-grade CRM solutions (DealCloud, Salesforce etc)
  • Experience with data governance software (Collibra etc.)

 

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience in using Project Management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Planner / Project, and Business intelligence software such as QlikSense is a plus
  • Experience in contract negotiation and managing vendors and suppliers / including overall supplier due diligence
  • Experience in change management principles such as Kotter and ADKAR.
