What it's about

Based in Partners Group's fast-growing Manila office, this newly created position will be responsible for coordinating written and quantitative responses to Requests-for-Proposals (RFPS) and related data requests from the firm's external counterparties, primarily service providers, regulators and clients.  A key aspect of the role is to ensure that the company and its operations are professionally and accurately described, and that written materials effectively respond to queries in a detailed and comprehensive manner.  Likewise, the position will be a central point of contact for client data requests such as track records, detailed investment data, portfolio composition, and other data.  The firm's clients and prospects increasingly require detailed, data-heavy input as part of the due diligence they conduct on Partners Group. This involves coordinating between specialist teams to procure the relevant data (Quantitative and Risk Management, investment teams, product accounting) while utilizing internal quantitative tools and then seamlessly integrating the data to generate high quality client responses. The role requires someone with excellent attention to detail, a quantitative mindset, and advanced Excel skills

The position is expected to grow into a value-adding internal subject matter expert across the firm's corporate functions, entities and operations, including building out a content bank and database of written descriptions of its operational and regulatory activities, including tailored descriptions relating to its various group entities, to ensure consistent communication to external stakeholders.  The role is highly interactive and will include extensive collaboration with global teams across the organization, including platform services, treasury, product accounting, regulatory compliance, risk management, legal and structuring, and other operational functions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage written and data responses to operational due diligence questionnaires and similar requests from external parties; utilize the firm's tools and databases and collaborate with teams across the organization to source detailed inputs to craft accurate responses; ensure that written questions and data queries are comprehensively answered and that written responses are appropriately customized for the specific counterparty and scenario.

  • Manage a structured, organized questionnaire-response process that incorporates stakeholder inputs, reviews and deadlines

  • Develop a strong knowledge base of the firm's operations, processes, regulatory requirements, group entities and other aspects of the corporate platform to effectively understand and respond to requests

  • Support the firm's Operational, Service Provider Management and Compliance teams and group regulated entities with written responses, as well as respond to ad-hoc requests for information

  • Coordinate and liaise with various teams and specialists within the firm to develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date written material and data sets

  • Initiate and lead projects within the team to help support and build out the firm’s content process and a range of other data, texts and materials (e.g., database maintenance, updating standardized content, etc.)

What we expect
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, financial management or business administration; the ideal candidate would have some combination of data analysis and marketing communication skills

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the financial industry or an accounting firm or experience in operations or project management; a recent university graduate with relevant internship experience would be considered

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Extreme attention to detail and the ability to manage large amounts of data and technical written texts while producing quality work product is critical

  • Advanced Excel skills are necessary as many requests are in Excel; experience using other quantitative and data tools would be an advantage.

  • Must work well in a team environment, excellent interpersonal skills to engage senior professionals and liaise with global teams across the firm.

  • Project management skills and the ability to work under deadlines while maintaining a high standard is essential

  • Passionate and entrepreneurial to bring in your own initiatives and improve existing content and processes
