What it's about

The Business Application Group Operations Enablement chapter's mandate is to build proactive operational capabilities to assure and continuously improve quality and reliability of business operations, define, and execute controls for service transition and deliver enabling experience for users through seamless service and tailored knowledge management. 

  

To support our ongoing efforts, we are currently seeking an Operations Enablement Senior Application Specialist to join our dynamic team in Manila. The team in Manila collaborates globally with the Business Application agile operating model. If you are passionate about people development and technology, with a desire to continuously improve solutions and optimize inefficiencies in operations, then this position may be perfect for you. 

 

Productivity and Quality

  • Lead smooth and quality-assured transition of application features from development to production environments
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations 
  • Lead the development of the Operations Enablement service catalogue to further improve service delivery
  • Run/Lead small to mid-sized projects related to operations

 

Collaboration

  • Foster an active collaboration among peers within the Operations Enablement Chapter
  • Effectively communicate and lead operations support interactions with platform stakeholders, particularly during major incidents
  • Proactively establish and maintain good working relationships with business users and platform team members
  • Increasingly interact with mid-level business leaders to align on their business application vision and priorities related to operations

 

Leadership

  • Considered a go-to subject matter expert for at least one of the core Operations Enablement functions: release, knowledge, performance, problem management & RCA/post-mortem analysis, customer engagement, operational analytics, and cost optimization
  • Recognized by others including both peers and customers, for service operations excellence
  • Stay on the leading edge of business application service operations best practices
  • Mentor junior colleagues in developing their skills and expertise in their area of responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities for people development and capability building within the chapter or platform

 

Compliance

  • Complete all compliance obligations and trainings in a timely manner, if applicable along with guiding team members to do the same
  • Thoroughly understand and guide team members on the compliance, security and operational responsibilities in your area of work
  • Work with the platform to ensure adherence to Partners Group’s policies
What we expect

Preferred skills and experience: 

  • Degree in technology, software engineering or related quantitative field 
  • 8 years of experience in similar role, preferably in technology and/or financial industry 
  • Proficient in relational databases (SQL Server/PostgresDB) 
  • Experience in cloud services such as AWS (certification is a plus) 
  • Experience with incident and problem management 
  • Knowledge in programming languages, Java and Python is a plus
  • Knowledge Snowflake is a plus
  • Knowledge in Business Intelligence tools (Qlik) is a plus
  • Proficiency with collaboration and project tools like Jira, Confluence 
  • Good understanding or have gained experience on at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM, etc. (certification is a plus) 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to see the big picture, understand how the details contribute to that, and think through the cause-and-effect relationships that can create change 
  • Proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple operations/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail 
  • Accurate, effective, and independent working style 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure and confidently interact with business users 
  • Excellent communication skills and customer centric approach 
  • Very good language skills in English (written/oral) 
  • Knowledge about private markets would be an advantage
