Senior IT Project Manager

The Business Applications Group is closely aligned with the business teams and responsible for the key applications to administer, monitor and analyse Partners Group’s business processes through the investment value chain. We take care of the availability, development, customization and on-going enhancement of these applications to best support the global business operations of Partners Group.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle execution of projects, leading and delivering of key transformation projects.
We are now looking to add a professional to our team, based in Manila or Mumbai.
You will have the following responsibilities:
- Engage fully with the relevant project sponsor and business owner. Influence and manage stakeholder expectations by monitoring progress against the plan and issuing regular communication updates and budget overviews
- Identify risks and escalate issues that impact scope, time, cost, quality, and benefits in a timely manner
- Lead teams to work cross-functionally following agile development methodologies to deliver requested business application services
- Take on coordination and organizational tasks within the business unit and manage own workload including accurate effort estimating
- Coordinate interdisciplinary projects involving large numbers of developers and consultants, while working very tightly with our internal IT Services team
- Develop and drive project management best practices within the Business Applications Group
- Excellent record of academic achievement, ideally bachelor’s, master’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related scientific or quantitative field
- 10+ years of experience covering project management and software engineering, preferably in the financial industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, that inspire confidence in business stakeholder and the team
- Good commercial awareness and experience in managing budget and resource utilization
- Experience managing enterprise-level projects including vendor relationships in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment across time zones
- Experience coordinating with business users and developers to solve business requirements with entrepreneurial mindset to constantly improve the status quo
- Analytical and flexible with the ability to rapidly understand ambiguous and complex concepts
- Proven project management certification, such as Prince2, PMP or IPMA
- Strong understanding or practical experience of at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework such as Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM, etc
