What it's about

We are looking for an experienced hire to support us in our establishment of the Financial and Regulatory Reporting cell in Manila. The Cell is responsible for global audit coordination and financial statements preparation, as well as fee reporting to clients. This experienced member will mainly be part of the Financial Reporting side of the Cell with focus on financial reporting technical topics, and external audit support but also support the Expense Transparency function with fee reporting to clients. The Financial and Regulatory Reporting cell has currently its presence in Zug and Singapore. 


Responsibilities include:


To closely support the local lead of the Financial and Regulatory Reporting cell in Manila, with focus on financial reporting technical topics, coordination and support of external audit requests, as well as, the oversight of specific areas in the financial statements' preparation process. Further, the role is key in a global team set-up providing day-to-day support of financial and regulatory reporting tasks.


Key areas of the function will be: 

  • Prepare notes disclosures for IFRS accounts
  • Oversee technical tools supporting notes disclosures
  • Support on the coordination and oversight of the preparation of financial statements by external service providers in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP and Lux GAAP
  • Oversee the finalization of quarterly credit facility reports
  • Oversee the monthly financial reporting being made available to clients
  • Review of financial statements prepared by external service providers
  • Clear understanding of systems, processes, roles, and responsibilities across Product Accounting and Financial Reporting function
  • Assist in currently ongoing Audit Transformation project with further process, system, and control improvements
  • Active engagement and collaboration with stakeholders across the company in relation to audit coordination and external auditors
  • Support of preparation of regulatory reports across the Partners Group investment product universe, in line with SECA (CH), FCA (UK), ASIC (AUS), PRIIPS / MIFID (EU) regulatory requirements (if required)
  • Support coordination of the TER, PRIIPS/ MiFID annual reviews and other ad-hoc reporting processes (if required)
  • Proactive coaching and training of more junior colleagues
  • Support in any internal and external client communication

What we expect
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably within audit,
  • Holding an accounting degree,
  • Strong reporting technical knowledge, especially IFRS but US GAAP knowledge is a benefit
  • Experience with alternative investment financial reporting (including complex structures), with an ability to interpret different type of accounting/ reporting standards,
  • Understanding and experience with different private markets investment structures and strategies, with the ability to proactively identify, communicate, and address any operational challenges, risks, or potential improvements,
  • Experience of working closely with external service providers and high service quality,
  • Ability to take ownership, work independently, and multi-task in the preparation of financial reports and other assigned tasks within set deadlines,
  • Project experience relating to process, systems, and/ or control improvements within the financial services industry,
  • Effective communication skills while collaborating with stakeholders across different functions in an international setting,
  • Experience in leading teams and coaching more junior members, while providing proactive, constructive upward and downward feedback,
  • Attention to detail, with an entrepreneurial, proactive, and a solution-driven mindset,
  • Proficiency in English is required, and
  • Candidates with experience in SECA (CH), FCA (UK), ASIC (AUS), PRIIPS / MIFID (EU) regulatory reporting, is a plus.
