Senior Structuring Services Professional (Paralegal)

What it's about

For this position, we are looking for an experienced paralegal in our Manila office focusing on managing the local team as well as helping legal operations and servicing for the global structuring team. Partners Group’s structuring team is responsible for developing highly innovative investment structures for investors globally. At Partners Group, the structuring team plays a pivotal role in fund strategy and development, as well as ongoing servicing and maintenance. Structuring team members work closely with the firm’s client relationship management, investment and operations team, external service providers as well as with clients to deliver market leading products.

 

What will you be responsible for

  • identify and evaluate obligations (operational, legal, etc.) in legal documentation of investment funds
  • ensure timely establishment of obligations within Partners Group systems
  • work alongside Structuring professionals globally and support them in managing the execution, organization and filing of legal documentation of investment funds
  • assume responsibility and ownership for certain investment fund processes
  • coordinate with various teams within the firm and liaise with external service providers on a broad range of matters related to investment funds
  • create and track of legal entities operationally and ensuring accuracy of data within Partners Group systems
  • handle project-related work and related administrative tasks, data analysis, data extraction requests, internal system and tool enhancements, development of new tools or other tasks as required
  • create, collate and maintain trackers and overviews on certain internal processes for record keeping and/or decision-making purposes
  • assist in general administrative tasks related to investment funds from an operational perspective such as term extension, name change, LPA change
  • maintain document databases and organization

 

What we expect
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience leading a team, preferably within the corporate department of a law firm or the legal department of a bank, asset manager or company within the financial services industry
  • Bachelor's degree in legal studies or paralegal studies
  • Experience in investment funds is a plus
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with strong desire to learn and succeed
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and management skills
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Highly detail oriented with strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills
  • Reliable, analytical, with an eye for detail, and able to prioritize
  • Committed to meet tight deadlines with high standards of quality
  • Ability to review legal agreements, extract obligations from such agreements and identify and describe practical implementation of such obligations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to integrate in a dynamic and multi-cultural growing global team
  • Interest in learning about investment funds and the operations of a global private equity firm
  • Good communication skills; in particular, must write clearly, concisely, and persuasively
  • Team-oriented person with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Proficient with MS Office, excellent Excel skills will be a plus, and must be comfortable working with a variety of internal systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
