As part of Partners Group’s growth plans, the Private Real Estate directs team is looking to add an Investment Leader who will be responsible for sourcing and executing deals in the US market.


The role will focus on proactively identifying and managing sophisticated transactions, and work to expand the sourcing network of local developers and entrepreneurial operating partners. This person will coordinate due diligence on chosen properties and negotiate and finalize transactions. This person should also be comfortable coordinating external parties such as banks, lawyers, and other advisors.


This person’s responsibility will include all asset classes, including alternatives and operational real estate. They will work on large portfolio deals, corporate transactions, joint ventures, and single asset transactions.

What we expect


  • 8 – 10 years of prior direct real estate and management experience

  • Identification and analysis of suitable investments and management of the execution of direct real estate transactions in the US, including complex deals, such as corporate and portfolio transactions as well as in alternative asset classes.

  • Source, underwrite and execute real estate investment opportunities to meet the investment requirements of Partners Group’s existing or new clients (funds, mandates, JVs, club deals)

  • Contribute to any divestment decisions and support the execution of sales

  • Work closely with key internal partners including the Asset Management, Fund Management and Research teams and provide support to investment strategies and themes

  • Lead the acquisition and due diligence process including coordination of third parties (brokers, lawyers and technical advisors) and internal teams (Fund Management, Asset Management, Legal) and the negotiation of key transaction, JV and co-investment documents

  • Participate in the origination and execution of acquisition debt financing arrangements.

  • Preparation, analysis, and presentation of documents at Investment Committee

  • Develop new relationships with potential sellers, operating partners, advisers and other market participants that enable the sourcing and the closing of new transactions

  • Support the oversight and development of the analysts and associates supporting the team


Required skills:

  • At least 5 years of buy side experience, executing transactions across multiple asset classes

  • A strong track record of originating and completing value add/opportunistic investments in the US

  • Degree in finance, business, real estate, or similar degree/qualification

  • Experience in preparing, structuring, and realizing investment and disposal processes

  • Established network of investors, developers, and agents in a local market

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • High degree of analytical thinking/financial analysis

  • Motivated individual and team player
