Partners Group is seeking a Senior Client Relationship Manager to focus on business development with responsibility for marketing of proven private equity fund strategies to DC Plan clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to build the client base and for working with the Managing Director responsible for US Marketing for the firm. The successful candidate will contribute to product development strategies and will market products to institutional investors in the Americas. The position will be based in New York or Denver. Responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to develop targeted marketing plans
  • Executing on a calling program targeting key institutional prospects including pension plan sponsors, DC consultants, glide path managers and target date fund providers
  • Helping to develop products that support the needs of the DC market
  • Closing on commitments with DC prospects in the US
  • Maintaining ongoing investor relationships
  • Closely collaborating with other members of the US marketing team to meet the team's objectives
What we expect

The ideal candidate will be a fundraising professional with experience interacting with institutional clients. He/she should have the ability to develop marketing plans that target the DC marketplace and to successfully execute on strategies to close investments. Additional qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated experience within the defined contribution marketplace; experience within the custom and non-custom target date fund market would be particularly desirable
  • Demonstrated understanding of key DC decision-making constituents and influencers including pension plan mangers, human resources professionals and investment consultants
  • Experience with alternative investments, particularly private equity, not required but appreciated
  • The ability and credibility to pitch new investors and close business effectively
  • An organized and effective professional style, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • A well-developed understanding of investments
  • An understanding of the current fundraising market, including knowledge of terms, current investor concerns and competitors in the market
  • A track record of personal success; driven, self-motivated, determined; high energy
  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity; a strong team orientation and commitment to the firm
  • Willingness to travel
