Senior Accountant (Accountant)

What it's about

 

  • Perform day-to-day and recurring (monthly and quarterly) accounting closing activities
  • Independently prepare financial figures summary in relatable format and content for various stakeholders (Local board of directors and various Group internal committees)
  • Independently responsible for tax, regulatory and compliance monitoring, and reporting
  • Manage year-end audit process including liaison with auditor and internal teams as well as preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS / local GAAP
  • Independently responsible for assigned finance-related projects, such as process redesign, automation of process optimisation, system integration implementation relevant to accounting topics/tasks, etc
  • Assist team head in reviewing and monitoring accounting closing performed by the junior team members
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members in relevant accounting and improvement tasks assigned
  • Assist team head in reviewing internal control system for further process improvement, lead assigned technological and/or process initiatives
  • Define and document local process control, including recurring review and update
  • Close coordination with other internal stakeholders to resolve queries or collaboration in ad-hoc project

 

What we expect

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant accounting professional qualifications
  • Working experience of 6-9 years in similar position
  • Reliable and trustworthy individual with good analytical skills and ability to pay excellent attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual who thrives in demanding environment
  • High-adaptability in growing and changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with different department and effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in independently leading process improvement (e.g. via Lean principles) is preferable
  • Experience in private equity industry would be a plus
  • Experience in a global environment would be a plus
