Team Head, HR Operations

Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversight function of full operational lifecycle matters for Asia employees, ensuring seamless delivery of HR services for approximately 400 employees regionally. Country coverage include key locations in Asia such as Singapore, Manila, Sydney as well as smaller offices such as Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo and Mumbai.

 

  • Progressively monitor and amend to align with regulatory requirements HR operational tasks, benefits, policies and processes across all 7 jurisdictions in Asia including the oversight of HR-related regulatory compliance requirements

 

  • Review, streamline and improve existing HR operational workflows, ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements and operational efficiency

 

  • Lead Asia HR Operations team with responsibility for team performance and delivery by coaching employees under your supervision through feedback, counselling and training

 

  • Support HR recruiters, HR business partner and line managers with mutually beneficial solutions to problems as it pertains to HR employment matters, local regulatory requirements, conflicts and/or employee relations issues diplomatically

 

  • Manage service providers ensuring that they adhere to service level agreement and resolve any service gaps with the respective providers

 

  • Support global HR management team and specialty functions in executing corporate policies, projects, HR operations work stream for new entities as required from time to time

 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as audit, compliance, corporate legal and finance teams, taking a lead in HR audit, compliance and payroll/banking reviews

 

  • Liaise with various authorities to manage regulatory/compliance required reporting

 

  • Support the build-up of HR Shared Services function in Manila

 

  • Team coverage and back up for Regional HR Head as needed
What we expect
  • Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, economics or HR-related discipline preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering operational excellence in HR Operations in a regulated yet fast-paced, growth-oriented professional services environment a must, ideally within financial services or consulting / partnership setup
  • Demonstrated success in integrating HR operational solutions by collaborating with HR Centres of Expertise and or other functional leaders to drive a common goal.  
  • Extensive and deep working knowledge of HR best practices and conversant with the Singapore employment regulatory and the Monetary Authority of SIngapore (MAS)requirements, as well as, employment regulatory requirements for jurisdiction where Partners Group have employee presence.
  • Experience in the use of technology and data analytics/insights to drive a productive and quality outcomes for stakeholders/end-users.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in global, multi-cultural environments inclusive 5+ years leading a team
  • Effective communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal, is also key requirement
