The Business Application Group Operations Enablement chapter's mandate is to build proactive operational capabilities to assure and continuously improve quality and reliability of business operations, define and execute controls for service transition and deliver enabling experience for users through seamless service and tailored knowledge management.
To support our ongoing efforts, we are currently seeking an Operations Enablement Application Specialist to join our dynamic team in Manila. The team in Manila collaborates globally with the Business Application agile operating model. If you are passionate about people development and technology, with a desire to continuously improve solutions and optimize inefficiencies in operations, then this position may be perfect for you.
Productivity and Quality
- Ensure smooth and quality-assured transition of application features from development to production environments
- Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations
- Actively develop the automation of existing manual activities to achieve a higher and consistent level of business application service delivery to business end-users
- Ensure smooth business application service operations by resolving data & application related issues in a timely manner
- Run/Lead small to mid-sized projects related to operations
Collaboration
- Actively engage in onboarding of new joiners and foster collaboration among peers within the team
- Effectively communicate to stakeholders as part of incident/problem management
- Proactively establish and maintain good working relationships with business users and platform team members
- Increasingly interact with mid-level business leaders to align on their business application priorities related to operations
Leadership
- Develop excellent platform and business application know-how
- Proactively build up subject matter expertise and identify areas for further self-development
- Be a process owner for at least one operational activity in the platform
- Manage escalations related to operational topics in the platform
Compliance
- Complete all compliance obligations and trainings in a timely manner, if applicable along with guiding team members to do the same
- Thoroughly understand and coach junior colleagues on the compliance, security and operational responsibilities in your area of work
- Work with the platform to ensure adherence to Partners Group’s policies
Must have
- Degree in technology, software engineering or related quantitative field
- 5 years of experience in similar role, preferably in technology and/or financial industry
- Proficient in working on relational databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake is a plus)
- Experience in Financial Systems
- Able to communicate well with stakeholders and has a customer service mindset
- Proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple operations/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Experience in support and operations (Incident and problem management)
- Experience in using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or other similar tools
- Strong in agile delivery, with release management experience and engineering exposure
- Accurate, effective, and independent working style
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and confidently interact with business users
- Very good language skills in English (written/oral)
Is an advantage
- Knowledge in cloud services, preferably AWS
- Knowledge in CI/CD Pipelines and Tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Etc.)
- Knowledge in programming languages, Java and Python
- Knowledge in Snowflake
- Good understanding or have gained experience on at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM, etc.
- Experience in release management experience and engineering exposure
- Knowledge about private markets
