Data Analyst, Transparency Reporting

Partners Group is seeking an experienced hire to support our growing Expense Transparency Reporting team, responsible for fee and expense reporting to clients (functional title: Reporting Controller). You are a key member of Expense Transparency team, supporting regular regulatory reporting tasks as well as on projects assigned to the team.
The Expense Transparency Reporting team is a part of the larger Financial Reporting team with presence in Zug, Singapore, and Manila. Within the larger Financial Reporting team, we are responsible for the global audit coordination, financial statements preparation, as well as expense reporting to clients as part of the Client Reporting value stream.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial & Regulatory Reporting: support the team in preparation of expense reports across a broad Partners Group investment product universe according to SECA (CH), FCA (UK), ASIC (AUS), PRIIPS / MIFID (EU) and other frameworks
- Consolidate Expense Data: support the team in classifying and extracting expense data from financial statements of Partners Group's products and its underlying fund investments. Compilation and review of the underlying financial information obtained from other supporting teams, including external service providers
- Coordinate Reporting Processes: coordinate annual reviews of regulatory reporting and other ad-hoc reporting processes. You have a clear understanding of systems, processes, roles, and responsibilities across Financial and Regulatory Reporting
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: internally (Product Management, Client Solutions, Risk Management etc.) and externally (service providers, auditors, etc.) related to transparency reporting related matters
- Automate Tasks: assist in ongoing as well as future automation and process improvement projects
- Service Ad-hoc Requests: support with internal and external expense reporting requests related to Partners Group funds and clients
Technical qualifications
- Education: top academic credentials and a Bachelor's degree (e.g., finance, economics or business-related, engineering). CPA, CFA, CAIA, and other relevant certifications are a plus
- Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience (e.g., accounting, auditing of alternative investment and fund structures). Candidates with private markets experience are preferred
- Regulatory Experience: understanding regulatory requirements and implementing practical solutions is preferred
- Financial Literacy: understands the dynamics of private markets and ability to interpret different accounting standards
- Technical Competences: thorough proficiency with Excel and SQL. Programming experience, e.g., Python, is highly preferred
- Advanced Quantitative Skills: ability to analyze, communicate, and synthesize complex data available in different formats from several sources
- Languages: Excellent skills in both spoken and written English (German is a plus)
