What it's about

To extend the technical IFRS function of the Group Accounting & Reporting team, we are looking for an experienced team member assuming the following responsibilities:

Assessment of application of IFRS to complex and new business transactions
Group-wide assessment of changes to IFRS accounting standards and implementation thereof
Development and maintenance of group-wide accounting manual in accordance with IFRS
Involvement in preparation of annual and interim financial statements and review for IFRS-compliance
Performing peer reviews and horizon scanning of financial statements and proposing areas for improvements
Preparing and holding internal IFRS technical trainings and workshops at all levels of the company
Drafting of technical responses to queries from financial regulatory and supervisory bodies
Commenting on select exposure drafts from standard setters with significant impact on our industry

What we expect

To qualify for this role, we are looking for a candidate meeting the following criteria:

University/higher education degree and qualification as Certified Public Accountant (CPA or equivalent)
At least 10 years of relevant experience in the area of audit and assurance or IFRS advisory services, of which ideally at least 5 years of relevant experience in an IFRS technical office or IFRS accounting advisory function, and preferably with one of the Big-4 Accounting Firms
Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Problem solver, analytical and structured thinker
Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment and under time pressure as required by projects' schedule
Knowledge of upcoming ESG reporting requirements is an advantage
Fluency in English language is required, German language skills and experience in a global environment would be a plus
