Lead IFRS Accountant

Partners Group's Evergreen Product Control team is seeking an experienced IFRS accountant to join our growing team in Zug. You'll play a vital role in steering accounting policies and posting conventions in order to best reflect the financial performance of our private wealth funds to our clients. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic global team and contribute to the continued success of Partners Group.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead accounting policies decisions during the launch of new funds and perform in depth analysis of the impact of these policies on the Net Asset Value of the funds
- Perform detailed reviews of Net Asset Values and Financial Statements prepared by external service providers to ensure high quality and timely deliverables
- Support fund administrators in the preparation of the Net Asset Value and Financial Statements, especially in recording complex transactions in line with the accounting standards
- Lead IFRS related projects related to new and existing business, including funds' restructuring, which are aimed to enhance investor transparency and competitiveness in the private markets industry
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure efficient and timely completion of audits in accordance with fund documents deadlines
- Oversee and enhance firm-wide private markets models and systems, contributing to process improvement initiatives across the business unit or department
- Foster open communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal results
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues to foster their professional growth and development
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., CPA., ACCA, ACA) are advantageous
- 7+ years of experience in technical department of audit firms, private markets fund accounting and/or financial reporting experience is considered a plus
- Proficiency in international accounting standards IFRS, knowledge of other accounting standards such as Luxembourg GAAP is considered a plus
- Experience in computer programming (VBA/SQL/Python) and advanced Excel skills are considered an advantage
- Strong diligence, exceptional organizational skills, and a self-motivated work ethic
- Responsible, accountable, and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and diverse global environment
- Passion for working within a leading private markets firm and contributing to its continued success
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Additional languages such as German is a plus
