What it's about

 

In this position, you will be part of our highly dynamic team of tax professionals and will focus on supporting Partners Group's investment professionals in the management of all tax aspects of our private market investment activities.

  • Supporting investment professionals in high-profile/material tax related aspects for all investment classes (Private Equity, Real Estate and Infrastructure) and negotiating terms and conditions in relation to these high-profile/material tax matters
  • Supporting the Head Transaction Tax and other team members in strategic tax initiatives and continuous screening of tax legislation changes in Europe
  • Managing outside tax counsels, controlling tax deliverables, monitoring advisors' performance and further strengthening our operating model
  • Training of investment, legal and other internal team members in tax matters

 

What we expect

 

This exciting opportunity arises for candidates with the following background:

 

  • 10 to 12 years of relevant experience as a tax lawyer with a highly recognized law firm or Big 4 or as an in-house tax counsel within major investment funds
  • Extensive experience in tax work for investment funds and ideally investors in investment funds
  • Experience in cross-border tax matters involving the main European countries
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, high attention to details and legal and finance aspects of tax work
  • Top academic credentials and advanced degree (e.g., LL.M., MBA in finance, law school or equivalent)
  • Fluent in English, and German being a plus
